Frequently Asked Questions
What is the shipping cost? Is there local pickup?
Shipping is based on the size and weight of the packaging used. A representative will reach out to you with this information.
Local pick up is available in the Racine, WI and surrounding areas. Please contact us for this information.
How long before my order ships?
We ship within 48 hours or less, if the items are in stock. Please verify all contact information before placing your order including a contact number, we will call and text based on your preferences. In the event there may be a delay due to unexpected circumstances, such as inclement weather, we will contact you as soon as we are made aware of the situation.
Do I really need to trim the wick?
Yes. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch above the wax line before lighting your candle. At any point during a burn, if your flame is getting too large, too high or you are seeing smoke and/or soot, extinguish the flame. Once cooled, trim the wick and re-light. Keeping your wick trimmed makes your candle safer and last longer.
Why does my candle have wax on the side of the jar after burning?
A little wax on the sides is normal. Most candles will catch up. If it seems like an excessive amount, please reach out to us.
Each time you burn a candle, you should try and burn it until the liquid wax pool reaches the edge of the jar or near the edge of the jar.
How do I put out my candle?
We recommend using the lid of the jar to naturally snuff out the candle. It is fire resistant and will extinguish the candle in seconds. If you have a wick snuffer, that is the best way to extinguish a candle. Avoid blowing out the candle, as blowing can spread hot wax and smoldering wick fragments out of the candle, both which are safety hazards.
What if a product is damaged when it arrives?
If your product is damaged upon arrival, please contact us within 48 hours. Please keep the original packaging materials. Also take several pictures immediately, as this will help us to eliminate any potential problems on our end. This will also help us if it was damaged during shipping.
What if I really don't like the scent I ordered? Can I return it?
We hope that our descriptions will help you in choosing a candle scent perfect for you. We recommend you purchase a smaller candle or tealight candle first if you are unsure of the scent. We do not allow returns for candles that have been burned or used to test the scent. If the candle has not been burned in any way, a potential swap is possible if you provide shipping or can pick it up locally. Please reach out to us about it.
Can I refill or re-use my candle jars when they are empty?
Our wax is sticky but can be removed with a little effort, please reach out to us for suggestions. Our Jars are originally designed by the manufacture to be used as reusable canning jars. They can withstand high heat up to 850 degrees. They are great to throw out used cooking grease in the kitchen or for oil in the garage, but once used as a candle it is NOT recommended for food use. You may also purchase more candles from us to place in that empty jar such as a tealight candle. We are in the works of producing tealights, pillar candles and wax melts.
Some other suggested uses are:
To hold spare change on your dresser, hold flash drives, rinse out paint brushes while working on crafts, hold markers and crayons, hold small items such as buttons, screws, lego’s, hold band aids in your bathroom, hold rubber bands, hold hair ties and clips, hold small electrical components like LED’s.
